伊達冠石の錆色を炎のように磨き残し、真鍮製のパーツを合わせたキャンドルホルダー。
ヨーロッパの先史時代に建てられたモノリスを意味する「メンヒル」という名前が残すように、原野にそびえる巨石を思わせるフォルム。 雄大なランドスケープへのイマジネーションをかきたてる、タイムレスなインテリアアイテムである。

A candle holder, retaining the polished rusty color of Daté Kan Stone like a flame, and being combined with a brazen part.
The candle holder is equipped with a form - which reminds a megalith towering in the wilds-as indicated by its name "MENHIR", wｈich means monotolith-a geological feature consisting of a single massive stone or rock that was placed during the prehistoric Europe. The product is a timeless interior item, which stirs imagination toward the magnificent landscape.

1971年イスラエル生まれ。イスラエルのアートスクールを卒業後、オランダのヘリット・リートフェルト・アカデミーにてプロダクトデザインを学んだ。
2005年、パリ市内にデザインスタジオを開設。最先端のテクノロジーから伝統的な工法まで様々な手段を用い、主にプロダクトデザイン、空間デザインなどを手がけている。こうしたプロダクトはニュー・デザイン・ミュージアム（シカゴ）、ムダム・ミュージア（ルクセンブルク）、FNACファンデーション（パリ）、V&A（ロンドン）、ホロン・デザイン・ミュージアム（イスラエル）などに収蔵されている。

Born in 1971 in Jerusalem, Israel. Studied Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy: School of Art and Design in Jerusalem (1999-2001). He then moved to the Netherlands where he graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2002 (BA in industrial/product design). After his graduation he set up his studio in Amsterdam.
In 2005 he moved his studio to Paris where he still works. Dan's work stretches from space to objects - and everything in between - and in various methods, from classic craft work to cutting edge technologies.
